Cache, Oklahoma
I knew from the moment I first nursed my Katie that she was different. At her two week checkup I told her pediatrician of my suspicions....and the next checkup and the next checkup and the...well, you get the idea.

Tuttle, Oklahoma Hello, my name is Becky. I am the very lucky person who is blessed with two angels that call me "Mom". I am the mother of Johnathan, 10 years old, and Joey, 13 months (mds). My Johnathan is into baseball. He is the second baseman for the Newcastle Racer's little league team. He wants to be a pitcher, also. My Joey is into EVERYTHING!! We have a difficult time keeping up with him, if you blink - he's getting into something else!!
Ponca City, Oklahoma Jeremy is 21 now. It's been a long 21 years, but worth it. Jeremy has given me purpose in life. I could go on for hours about the things he's done or the way he flips me out at times. Instead, this personal story is about the things I'm thankful for because of having Jeremy.
Tulsa, Oklahoma Because of my age, 39 at the time, I was offered the choice of having an amniocentesis. Since I had one done my previous pregnancy, I didn’t think too much about it. My husband and I were not concerned about there being anything being wrong but thought it a good idea to make sure and find out the sex of the baby. Before we even did it, the genetic counselor talked to us about the possibilities of trisomy 21 and even more rare and highly unlikely mosaicism.
