Hi my name is Brandi. At 19 years of age, I gave birth to a brown-haired, blue-eyed beauty. Birthing was difficult, but the end results were indescribable. After having held her for minute or two, the doctors whisked her away. Twenty minutes later, with a roomful of family members (my husband was telling other family members that she had been born, so he wasn't present for the news.), the doctor came back and told me that it looked like my child had Down Syndrome. He also told me she had webbed toes. I was so shaken by the thought of my daughter having webbed toes, that the Down Syndrome part didn't even affect me!!
